Empowering Community Guidelines

Standards & Community

All Ionia Reentry homes operate as independent living residences, adhering to consistent standards that ensure safety, accountability, and compliance with North Carolina housing regulations.

Home Rules & Standards

Our homes operate with consistent standards to promote stability, accountability, and long-term independence. All residents are expected to follow house rules and program requirements to ensure a positive and safe environment for everyone.

General Resident Standards

All residents are expected to agree to uphold the following standards:

  • Residents must be able to live independently without the need for medical, personal, or clinical care.

  • Maintain a drug-free and alcohol-free environment.

  • Comply with parole, probation, or court-ordered conditions, if applicable.

  • Observe curfews and quiet hours.

  • No on-site medical, nursing, or personal care services are provided. Only reminders and schedule assistance.

  • Violence, weapons, or illegal activity are strictly prohibited.

  • Guest access is restricted according to house policies.

Failure to comply with these standards may result in termination of residency.

IONIA Reentry operates in full accordance with HUD, state, and local housing regulations. Our housing programs are designed to:

  • Support independent living and stability

  • Promote accountability and structure

  • Ensure fair housing compliance, including nondiscrimination and equal opportunity standards.

This ensures that all residents have access to housing that is safe, equitable, and supportive, and that our programs meet regulatory expectations for partners and funding agencies.
