Accountability Standards
All IONIA Reentry homes operate as independent living residences for veterans and follow consistent standards to ensure safety, accountability, and compliance with North Carolina housing regulations.
Key standards include:
- Veteran-only residency
- Ability to live independently
- Drug-free and alcohol-free environment
- Compliance with parole, probation, or supervision conditions (if applicable)
- Curfews and quiet hours
- No medical or personal care services provided on-site
- No violence, weapons, or illegal activity
- Guest restrictions
- Rent and program fee compliance
Failure to comply may result in corrective action or termination of housing.
Eligibility Basics
- Must be a verified veteran
- Able to live independently
- Not requiring medical, personal, or clinical care
- Willing to comply with house rules and accountability standards
Referrals
Referrals are accepted from:
- Veteran service organizations
- VA-aligned partners
- Courts and supervision agencies
- Workforce and housing partners
Referral documentation and placement availability are reviewed prior to acceptance.

IONIA Reentry operates as a for-profit, veteran-focused independent living housing provider and complies with applicable local and state regulations.
Program participation is contingent upon adherence to housing rules, supervision requirements, and partner agreements.
