Staff roles focus on housing operations, coordination, and supportive assistance—not medical, clinical, or personal care. While team members may assist with scheduling support, referrals, and general coordination, all residents remain independent and responsible for their own healthcare, treatment decisions, and service providers.
Facilities & Sanitation Team
Our cleaning crew ensures that each IONIA Reentry home remains safe, sanitary, and welcoming. Their work supports resident dignity, health, and quality of life by maintaining clean and well-kept living environments across all homes.
The Registered Nurse supports residents across all IONIA Reentry homes by providing non-clinical coordination and organizational assistance only, such as appointment reminders, schedule planning, and general health-related organization. The RN does not provide medical care, nursing services, treatment, medication administration, or clinical decision-making.
This role is designed to support veterans’ independence by helping residents manage their own healthcare responsibilities with their chosen providers.

Ms. Shirley serves as Ionia Reentry case manager to support justice-involved individuals and veterans in successfully transitioning back into the community. Each participant receives an individualized reentry plan focused on housing stability, employment readiness, and access to essential support services.
Our case managers coordinate with housing providers, workforce partners, veteran organizations, and community resources to remove barriers, promote accountability, and support long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
Ms.Martha provides administrative and organizational support to IONIA Reentry operations. She assists with documentation, coordination, and internal processes that help ensure smooth, compliant housing operations across all locations.
Lisa Terrell serves as Executive Director of IONIA Reentry, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and partnership development. She is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission to deliver veteran independent living housing while maintaining compliance, accountability, and sustainable growth.
Mr. Terrence serves as House Manager for Matthews House, supporting veterans transitioning from incarceration or housing instability. Terrence oversees daily housing operations, enforces house standards, and promotes a structured, respectful independent living environment.
Ms. Marie manages daily operations at Shelia House, an independent living home exclusively for female veterans. She provides oversight, accountability, and supportive guidance while maintaining a safe, structured, and empowering housing environment.
Ms. Nicole serves as House Manager for House of Don, supporting homeless veterans, including those undergoing dialysis. She focuses on housing stability, structure, and coordination while ensuring residents maintain independence and manage their own healthcare needs.
Through partnerships with workforce agencies, employers, training providers, and veteran support networks, participants receive support with job placement, resume development, interview preparation, and career pathway planning—helping them achieve stable employment and long-term economic self-sufficiency.
Our staff works collaboratively to maintain safe housing, promote accountability, and support residents as they manage their own transitions toward long-term stability.
